Imperial Palace, Kyoto, Japan.
Shunkoden "Sacred Mirror Hall" found on the Kyoto Imperial Palace grounds. In the Buddhist culture mirrors symbolize how people reflect life, death, and the universe around them. The purpose of this building was to house the sacred mirror from one hundred years ago. This is the only structure on the Palace grounds with a modern roof made out of copper as opposed to the traditional buildings comprised of wood shingles.
